A new approach for the Home Caregiver whose loved one has suffered a Stroke, Brain Aneurysm or Brain Trauma

There's a real life medical mystery that confronts thousands of caregivers of stroke and brain trauma survivors every day.

How do you rehabilitate a damaged brain?

The task seemed so daunting to me that I wanted to give up before I even started. Physically, mentally and emotionally, my friend (a stroke victim who had survived a cerebral hemorrhage) was the shell of a functioning human being. What could I do?

I was torn by indecision. Should I take the advice the professionals gave me? “There’s little you can do. Just wait and see what happens.”

Finally, I made a decision. I just couldn't sit around and wait ... for what? Nothing
was changing. In desperation, I developed my own home-based rehabilitation plan. I  briefly discuss it on this website; it’s described in detail in my book. It worked for us. Perhaps it will work for you. At the very least, it may give you some ideas on how to develop your own rehab plan for your loved one.
